POLE FITNESS

At Spin City - we teach a whole host of different pole classes! From Beginners to Elite, Spinning Pole to Pole Drills, Mixed Ability Classes and Practice Classes - you name it! Below is a brief description of what you can expect from each of the classes on our timetable.
MIXED ABILITY POLE
Mixed ability pole classes are suitable for students of all levels - from complete beginners to advanced. You will be paired up with students of a similar ability and your instructor will give you new moves each week to work on that are suitable for your current level/ability.
BEGINNERS POLE
At Spin City, our Beginners Pole Classes are suitable for complete beginners with no previous pole experience and those who are just learning the basic spins and are not comfortable inverting. Here you will learn the basic hand and leg grips, spins and transitions. Most students remain at a beginners level for 8-12 weeks.
INTERMEDIATE POLE
Our intermediate pole course is where we start to develop your basic invert. We will cover basic inversions, spotting technique and a variety of different dismounts. At this stage we will also teach you the final set of core spins and develop your freestyling skills! Most students train with us at an intermediate level for 8-12 weeks.
ADVANCED POLE
ADVANCED BEGINNERS
Spin City Advanced Beginners will ensure you are completely confident with all of the basic inverts on the pole. This will include safe spotting technique, emergency dismounting and safe inverted transitions.
ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE
The Spin City Advanced Course is where we start to look at expanding your range of inverted tricks, and building inverts into combinations. We will start to use more technical arm grips such as forearm grips and elbow grips, harder leg grips such as hip holds and finish with a much longer, more cardio challenging freestyle!
ADVANCED
So, you are confident with Advanced Intermediate? Ready to move to the next stage? The Spin City Advanced Course is challenging from every perspective. From the most technically advanced inverts, and invert combinations to competition standard routines - set yourself the ultimate challenge!!
ADVANCED DRILLS
The Spin City Advanced Drills Course is a strength and fitness based class aimed specifically for advanced students. Whatever advanced level you are at - you will benefit from this class! Get ready for a series of drills, training exercises, strength and flexibilty work in a pole circuits format and all focused on moving you up through the advanced levels with confidence.
ELITE POLE
Our elite class is an invitation only group, for super advanced students. You will be expected to be comfortable with all the advanced courses on offer - work hard, bring new and innovative ideas to the class and be prepared to get bruised!
SPINNING POLE
This class is for people who have completed level 1-4 and have learnt all of the basic spins. You will be spinning, gaining strength, flexibility and fitness, it's an all over workout with the added bonus of finding your style of performance! For those that are more advanced - Kate P will incorporate spinning inverts into your workout!
POLE PRACTICE
If a course isn't for you, or you currently can't commit to a regular evening session, then why not join one of our pole practice classes? This session allows you time to practice and develop the spins and tricks you have learned on your course with the irreplaceable friends you have made along the way. Not suitable for complete beginners.
PRIVATE LESSONS
If you don't feel comfortable in a larger group - or you would prefer a more individual, bespoke lesson then a private session may be for you. We can tailor the session to your specification, whether that's inverts, spin practice, choreography for an event or competition or performance skills and delivery.
PRIVATE PARTIES/WORKSHOPS
Spin City offer a 2 hour package that's great for parties, corporate events, or just a fun day out with the girls. Choose from Pole, Burlesque or combine both! Suitable for 3-40 people, our instructors will ensure that you and your group have a memorable and fun time! Our package consists of:
- warm up
- introduction to the pole and basic spins
- a fun pole and floor routine
- performance time
- cool down
